| Issu d'une famille de collectionneurs, Antoine Laurentin appartenait au monde des amateurs bien avant de transformer sa passion en métier. Spécialisé dans les dessins, peintures et sculptures de la fin du XIXème siècle au milieu du XXème siècle, soit des Nabis aux abstraits des années 50, il ouvre en 1991 une galerie rue Sainte-Anne puis s'installe en 2004 au 23 quai Voltaire soit en plein coeur du Carré Rive Gauche. |
Les expositions monographiques d'artistes de renommée internationale qu'il organise tels Gaston Chaissac, Aurélie Nemours, Pol Bury, Alfred Reth sont alternées avec celles d'artistes moins connus ou injustement oubliés tels Youla Chapoval. Les catalogues publiés à cette occasion sont devenus de véritables références. |
Après la publication du Catalogue raisonné des peintures de Ferdinand du Puigaudeau (1864 - 1930), Antoine Laurentin prépare un second volume sur cet artiste, ainsi qu'un catalogue raisonné des oeuvres de Jean-Charles-Joseph Rémond (1795 - 1875) et de Henri Gabriel Ibels, le nabi journaliste. |
| Antoine Laurentin comes from a family of collectors and was a collector himself long before turning his passion into the art dealing business. He opened his gallery in 1991 rue Sainte-Anne, before opening 23 Quai Voltaire, and is specialised in the end of the Nineteenth century and the Twentieth century, with works ranging from the Nabis to the Abstracts. |
The monographic exhibitions of international renown artists of that he organizes such Gaston Chaissac, Aurélie Nemours, Pol Bury, Alfred Reth are alternated with those of less known artists or inequitably forgotten such Youla Chapoval. His catalogues have become the standard reference book. |
